Sigrid Strömgren, born in 1980 i Sorsele in the north of Sweden, educated with a master degree in design at School of Design and Crafts (HDK) 2007. Since then she is working as a freelancing furniture designer and is running the design studio Quiet design in Gothenburg. 

Sigrid is specialized in integrated noise reducing furniture, which has generated in much attention through the patent-pending table series Silent Whisper for Materia. For this work she has won the international design prize Red Dot Design Award 2008 and also the Swedish design award Guldsyrsan 2008.

Sigrid Strömgren has participated in several exhibitions and fairs both national and international.
